1. The dubious character of Graff says to Ender, "Individual human beings are all tools, that the others use to help us all survive." (p.35) Argue for or against Graff's statement.
In Grafff's eyes he has no emotional connection with other human beings, but from his situation it might be the best thing. I don't agree with how he compares individuals to tools but he thinks it will be easier on Ender that way. Not feeling attached could be a good thing but it also makes the person seem cold and heartless. Graff's statement is both positive and negative in the different ways you could interpret it.
